Two sisters are fast asleep on the other side of the world while Morpeth Town go for FA Vase glory, but they wanted to show their support for the team.

Emily Potter, eight, and her sister Charlotte, five, are pictured with a commemorative mug in front of Mount Maunganui in New Zealand.

The family moved to Tauranga in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty in December 2015. Emily was a pupil at Goosehill Primary and Charlotte went to Pegswood First School.

The girls were thrilled to receive the mug from their aunt and uncle celebrating Morpeth reaching the FA Vase.

Emily said: "I was so excited to hear about Morpeth Town AFC going to Wembley, I thought we did really well getting to St James’ Park last year."

Charlotte said: "I am so happy and can’t wait to see pictures of them winning."

They are asleep 15,000 miles away while all of Morpeth is excited, but they wanted to show how far the support for the team stretches.
