A BEAUTY queen is positively blooming as she prepares for a national final.
Miss North East Galaxy UK Kethose Nagi came to Morpeth to learn the art of floristry.
The fashion management and entrepreneurship student, who will represent the region in Miss Galaxy UK on Sunday, was guided by Cynthia Fair at FH Hardy in Newgate Street.
She was taught which flowers go well together and how to shape a bouquet, before creating her own.
The arrangement included roses, chrysanthemums, catkin and wild flowers in purple, yellow, turquoise and red to reflect the colours of the beauty pageant and Miss Nagi’s chosen charity, Age UK. She delivered the bouquet to Age UK’s offices in Ashington.
She said: “It would have been easy just to send some flowers, but I really wanted to respect them by putting in the effort and making the bouquet myself.”
