CHILDREN enjoyed a fun-packed Easter Saturday egg-stravaganza at Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade.

Easter-themed stilt-walkers wowed the crowds with their eye-catching outfits and an egg hunt saw more than 200 people looking for a tasty treat.

Balloon-modelling and face-painting and the results of the Arcade’s design an Easter egg competition also got shoppers in the holiday mood.

Olivia Wilkinson and Laura Young, both aged nine and from Longhorsley First School, received joint-first in the eight-to-11 contest and Morpeth All Saints First School pupil Elise Moore, seven, won the four-to-seven category.

Centre Manager Medi Parry said: “We were delighted with this year’s Easter egg-stravaganza event.

“There was a lovely Easter feel to the Arcade all day and the children certainly seemed to enjoy all the activities we had on site.”
