Latest applications for planning permission

The following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Belsay: Mrs P Wakefield-Pearce, Buddhist Monastery, 2 Harnham Hall Cottages, variation of condition 2 (windows) and condition 7 (occupancy) relating to planning permission 11/02564/COU, change of use of agricultural land to ancillary accommodation in connection with adjacent monastery, including the provision of three meditation huts, one storage barn, two compost toilets and car parking area.

Mr Antony Michaelides, Middlepart Farm, proposed extension to the south elevation of an existing dwelling to form a sun lounge; Jason Oakley, land south of Nunhill, refurbish approximately 2.5km of overhead electricity line.

Heddon On The Wall: Mr Jonathan Forty, West Meadow House, Birks Road, extension to south facing gable end.

Hartburn: Miss Elizabeth Walton, land north west of Marlish Farm, prior notification for construction of an agricultural storage building.

Lynemouth: Mr S Milburn, Bewick Drift Windfarm, non-material amendment to application C/10/00116/REN to revise the approved turbine from a Clipper C-96 air cooled turbine to an Enercon E82 turbine.

Morpeth: Mr S Conroy, 7 South Terrace, two storey rear extension; Mr J Ions, 25 Turners Way, Kirkhill, first floor side extension creating two bedrooms with en-suites, garage conversion creating playroom and utility room; Mr R Davison, 4 Crawhall Crescent, Kirkhill, construction of porch and extension to garage with new roof.

Netherwitton: Mr J Trevalyan, forestry land north of Netherwitton, prior notification to upgrade an existing farm track and access.

Nunnykirk: David Ashbridge, Wingates Moor, Wingates, prior notification for construction of a poly tunnel for housing sheep during lambing.

Ponteland: Mrs Madeline Jones, land south of Kismet, Medburn, construction of a dwelling and double garage; Mr Terry Baldwin, 1 Ryehaugh, certificate of lawfulness of proposed porch and kitchen extension.

Mitchells and Butlers, The Badger, Street Houses, listed building consent for removal of the existing main entrance lobby and replacement with new full height glazed screens with oak posts and a glazed oak door, the existing bar counter will be reduced in size and floor in-filled with York stone to match the existing stone flooring in bar area 2, a new opening will be created in the wall next to the bar between bar area 1 and 2, the fixture of new fixed seating in dining area 5, bar area 1 and bar area 3, the existing carpet in bar area 1 is to be removed and replaced with new oak flooring, three new full height oak posts fixed near to the existing fixed seating in dining area 2 and three full height oak posts fixed near to the new fixed seating in bar area 1, removal of two existing glazed screens in dining area 2 and new full height glazed screen with oak posts in bar area 1.

Whalton: Mrs Emma Barham, 1 The Terrace, trees in a conservation area, fell one sycamore and crown thin sycamore tree by 20 per cent.
