IT was conga time for tots as a national fund-raising event wiggled its way to Morpeth.

About 50 youngsters at Morpeth Children’s Centre were joined by Year 1 pupils at Stobhillgate First School to take part in the first ever Giant Wiggle.

The event, in aid of Action For Children, was timed to celebrate The Very Hungry Caterpillar Day, marking the 45th anniversary of Eric Carle’s beloved children’s book.

Children collected sponsorship for their caterpillar conga, with funds raised helping Action for Children to support vulnerable families.
