A cosy way to raise cash

SOME unusual headwear will be on show at a Morpeth fashion store for an annual fundraising event.

White Stuff in Bridge Street is taking part in the company’s National Wear A Tea Cosy On Your Head Day to raise cash for good causes.

There will be a tea party, fun activities, children’s colouring competition and small gifts given to anyone entering the shop wearing a tea cosy on the day, tea cosies will be sold in store and the business will donate ten percent of profits made on the day to its chosen charity.

Last year the initiative raised more than £30,000 and it is hoped that this year’s event will be even more successful.

It will take place on Thursday, September 27.
