A GROUP of Morpeth school students were given a taste of what they will face in their adult lives.

The LifeSkills programme, created by Barclays for pupils, provides an opportunity for them to understand some of the important things they will need for their future careers and when they move out of their family home.

A range of activities, including a CV skills workshop, interviewing skills task and money skills session, were completed by 126 Year 8 students at Newminster Middle School and Technology College.

Adam Heywood said: “I found it really interesting to learn about what employers are looking for in terms of skills.”
