Area debate called off

A DEBATE to allow residents to air their views on Northumberland council services has been called off.

The North Area Debate was due to take place at Morpeth Town Hall this evening.

But bad weather has led to the meeting being cancelled by Northumberland County Council.

The debate would have formed part of the authority’s North Area Committee meeting, which was also to consider a petition about gritting on the B1337 between Whorral Bank and Longhirst, an update on the council’s forthcoming budget, information about a collective energy switching scheme and a report on changes to Arriva bus services.
