BMX bandits on the prowl

BIKE thieves are on the prowl in Northumberland.

Two incidents have been reported to police in recent weeks.

Officers are seeking information about the theft of a BMX bike from outside a house in Coronation Cottages, Lynemouth.

The Fit Bike VH1 model, which is black with purple handle bars and wheels, was taken between 4.30pm and 4.40pm on Tuesday, April 17.

Witness have reported seeing a white Transit style van in the area at the time.

Elsewhere, a blue Timberline Reflex tandem bike, worth about £300, was stolen from outside a caravan at Cresswell Towers between Tuesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 5.
