Burglar stole jewellery

A PONTELAND homeowner was left shaken following a burglary at their property on Monday.

The burglar, believed to be male, made off with a small amount of jewellery after being disturbed by the occupant at 7.50pm and also damaged a wardrobe and a door inside the house on Ponteland Road, which is close to the junction with Callerton Lane.

Anyone with information about the offence should call police on 101, extension 69191.
