Charity cheers for students

A CHARITY has expressed its thanks after receiving a donation from Morpeth’s high school.

The King Edward VI School Student Voice Team was delighted to donate £150 to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, which was raised at an event in Carlisle Park.

Morpeth representative for the charity, Patricia Rescigno, said: “We are very pleased with receiving this money for helping the important work of Guide Dogs.

“The students really worked hard at the Morpeth in Bloom Fest and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the day, even the guide dogs and guide dog puppies got in on the fun.

“Well done KEVI and a big thank-you from us.”
