Council grants awarded

A NUMBER of organisations have received a grant from Ponteland Town Council.

Dalton Village Hall was given £1,000 to help towards its upkeep and any maintenance works and £250 was awarded to Ponteland Bowling Club.

Tynedale Hospice at Home, which supports a number of Ponteland residents, received £520.

A total of £395 was also approved in respect of the Ponteland Detachment of the Northumbria Army Cadets, which sought assistance for purchasing its own flag.
