Dave is under starter’s orders

MORPETH man Dave McCourt is hot-footing it to the starting line of the Great North Run to raise funds for cancer charity.

Mr McCourt has decided to take part in the event later this month in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support after seeing its work at first hand with members of his family and close friends.

“I am hoping that my hard work and dedication to training for this even can be converted into generous and large donations for a charity which I feel makes a real difference to the lives of people and families living with cancer,” he said.

“Please give what you can, it all counts.”
