Flasher on the loose in woodland

POLICE have warned of a Morpeth flasher.

A man was seen exposing himself in a woodland area on Morpeth Common on Friday, between 1.30pm and 1.35pm.

He ran off as the witness went to challenge him and was seen getting into a new black Audi estate-type car before fleeing the scene.

The man is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, of slim build and was smartly dressed.

Officers received a similar report of a man acting suspiciously in woodland area around the same time the week before, but nothing was found.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in the woodland or car park areas of Morpeth Common over the last few weeks, or anyone with any information about the incident, to contact them on 101, extension 69191.
