The NSPCC held its annual Soup and Pud fundraiser at Morpeth Rugby Club (committee members left to right) Anne Johnson, Sandra Dickinson, Susan Hunter, Sue Thompson, Trish Gordon, Gillian Irvine, Liz Craigs and Una Caulder.

FUND-RAISING was on the menu for a dedicated Morpeth charity group at its annual Soup and Pud lunch.

The event is organised by the NSPCC Morpeth fund-raising committee to collect much-needed cash for the charity.

Almost 100 people attended this year’s lunch at Morpeth Rugby Club in Mitford Road.

And thanks to ticket sales and a raffle a grand total of £1,564 was raised.

Committee member June Pryer said: “It is an excellent amount. It’s probably one of our best years yet. The committee does all the catering and it is always a lovely day.”
