Dozens of dads went back to the classroom to show off their superhero qualities.

Pupils from the Blue and Indigo classes at Morpeth All Saints First School in Lancaster Park organised a day of fun activities for their dads, grandads, uncles and brothers.

The event was based on a superhero theme and saw pupils and their specially invited guests have fun in a superhero photo booth, make their own superhero vehicles and play a pin-the-mask on the superhero game, among other activities.

There was also the opportunity to make their own popcorn.

Teacher Laura Ritson said: “It was a great success and we would like to thank everyone who came.”

The idea of the men’s day was put forward by pupils following the success of a similar Mothers’ Day event at the school earlier in the year.
