Police hunt thieves who stole phone

POLICE are hunting two men in connection with a Morpeth theft.

The men were in a shop in Newgate Street when they put a piece of paper over an unattended mobile phone and left with the phone.

The incident happened on Wednesday, October 17, between 11.15am and 11.30am.

The men are believed to be of Eastern European origin and are thought to be about 40.

One is 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build, with medium length unkempt dark brown hair and discoloured teeth.

He was wearing a red tracksuit top, which also had areas of a darker colour.

The other suspect is 5ft 5ins tall, with thinning dark brown hair and a large stomach.

He was wearing a faded black tracksuit top and washed out denim jeans, which were rolled up at the bottom.
