A DEDICATED health visitor has been recognised for her care with a regional award.

Judith Pringle, who works with families in the NHS North of Tyne area, took the Family Award at the North East Health Visiting Awards.

Ms Pringle was nominated by patients for her caring and compassionate nature, fairness and trust.

NHS North East Strategic Head of Child and Maternal Health Services Sam Cramond said: “The awards were a chance for everyone, colleagues and the public, to show health visitors how important their profession is to the NHS and say thank you for a job well done.”

The regional awards were presented at Ramside Hall in County Durham by newsreader Carol Malia.
