Quit cigs for free gym pass

FREE gym passes are up for grabs as part of a stop smoking initiative.

Morpeth’s Riverside Leisure Centre is backing the national Stoptober campaign, which challenges smokers to quit the habit this month.

And to show its support, it is offering people who give up smoking a free three-day gym pass and 30-minute personal training session. They can even take along a family member free.

Northumberland Leisure Centres Contract Manager Ian Hamlet said: “We hope our local residents take full advantage of our offer during Stoptober. It’s key that smokers don’t give up trying to give up.”

To take advantage of a pass, people simply have to register at the Riverside Leisure Centre by Wednesday, October 31.
