PUPILS at a Morpeth school are now wearing a mix of colours.

A decision was recently made by All Saints Church of England First School to add a purple jumper option to the uniform to give parents a choice as the existing grey one is still available.

Headteacher Kath Halliday said: “The pupils are delighted with the addition of a new colour to their uniform.”

The school in Lancaster Park, which covers ages four to nine, first opened in 1972 and was formerly known as Wansbeck St Aidan Church of England First School until it was renamed in 2001.

It currently has 162 children on roll.
