Special service in Morpeth welcomes new NHS chaplains

Two new chaplains have been appointed to support NHS patients and staff in Northumberland and Newcastle.

Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (NTW) welcomed them at a special service held in St George’s Park, Morpeth, last week.

It was attended by patients, staff and volunteers. Rev Max Shepherd was inducted by Rev Lis Mullen, the moderator of the Northern Synod of the United Reformed Church, and Pastor Stewart Watts was inducted by Rev Dave Russon, healthcare chaplaincy contact for the Assemblies of God in Great Britain.

Ann Marshall, NTW acting group nurse director for community services, welcomed them on behalf of the trust.
