Witness appeal over pipe theft

METAL thieves have made off with copper pipes after breaking into premises in Morpeth.

The thieves broke into a building
at Fulbeck Grange Training Centre
and stole the pipes from the boiler
room.

It happened sometime between Thursday, December 6 last year and Wednesday, March 6.

Police are appealing for information about the crime.

Morpeth Inspector Dave Simpson said: “The thieves sawed through a wooden door to get access to the pipes so we are asking people to ask themselves whether they saw or heard anything suspicious in the area.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered copper pipe for sale.”

Anyone with information about the theft should contact police on 101, ext 69191, or call Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.
