A man has died after a crash in Northumberland this morning.
Police were called to the two-vehicle collision on the road that runs from the A197 Woodhorn roundabout to Lynemouth at 7.40am.
Paramedics were also on the scene alongside the Great North Air Ambulance. But despite attempts by all medical emergency services to resuscitate, including the administration of blood which the air ambulance have just begun carrying, a man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering multiple injuries.
The road was closed until 12.10pm to allow for vehicles to be recovered and investigations by police.
