Many attractions at event named after rescued dog

A family fun day inspired by a rescued dog has plenty to offer.

The event on the Welfare Field in Pegswood, which is being held on Saturday, will include a dog show, crafts stall, tombola and fly ball. There will also be a cake and savoury stall and other refreshments.

It has been named after Roo, who bounces around on her hind legs and is more often than not mistaken for a kangaroo. She was brought over to the UK by animal charity Safe Rescue For Dogs.
