More consultation over council plans

EXTRA sessions have been added to a council planning consultation to let people in Ponteland and Longhorsley have their say.

Events are taking place across the county to seek residents’ views on issues such as housing, jobs, town centres and greenbelt land as part of work to prepare a new Local Development Plan.

Now as a result of significant demand, a drop-in session and workshop will take place at Ponteland Memorial Hall on Thursday, July 19.

The drop-in is open to all from 2pm to 6pm, but limited places are available for the workshop, which will run from 7pm to 9pm, so registration is essential.

To attend the workshop e-mail planningstrategy@northumberland.gov.uk or call 01670 623629.

A further drop-in event will be held at Longhorsley Village Hall on Tuesday, July 31, from 2pm to 7pm.

To view the consultation document online visit www.northumberland.gov.uk/corestrategy or visit a local library or planning office.

Consultation ends on Wednesday, August 15.
