Tenants and guests at St Christopher's House enjoyed some great food at the Asian Night event.

A PHARMACIST demonstrated his kitchen skills at a sheltered housing scheme for a special event.

The Asian Night at Anchor-operated St Christopher’s House in Kirkhill, Morpeth, involved a demonstration of cooking and the choice of a variety of Asian dishes prepared by Nadeem Shah. He runs the Health Hut pharmacy, which is in the same area of the town.

Tenants and people from the wider community attended and they said that they enjoyed the delicious food, which was served by Mr Shah’s family and staff from the Health Hut.

The event was part of his fund-raising activities in support of the World Challenge initiative that helps children in developing countries.

St Christopher’s House scheme manager Eileen Wilson said: “The Asian night was a big success. As well as demonstrating, Mr Shah gave an informative talk about the origins of the food he was cooking.”
