Morpeth Lions Club

It is all change at the top for the club as it continues into its 42nd year.

Taking over the presidential duties from Geoff Bushell is Stuart Lewis. He was previously club treasurer before becoming vice chairman.

Mr Lewis is joined by an established team. Vice president for the year will be Ian Brown, the former junior vice president and social services chair.

The secretary continues to be Ian Mills and Jerry Nelson also continues as treasurer. The new member of the team is a former president, Chris Offord, who becomes junior vice president. The role of ways and means co-ordinator stays with John Gray.

The new president said he is delighted to be taking over such a strong club and he paid a warm tribute to his predecessor, who has worked tremendously hard in his year of office. Mr Bushell was presented with an album of photographs and press cuttings recording his year.
