There will be a one-minute silence outside Morpeth Town Hall at 11am this morning in memory of the victims of the Paris attacks.

The terrorist incidents, which took place on Friday night, claimed at least 129 lives and resulted in widespread casualties.

As a mark of respect and expression of solidarity, many authorities and organisations across the UK have lowered their Union Flags to half-mast.
