Open garden event is in aid of good cause

Members of the public can enjoy some entertainment, buy books and plants and win some great prizes as well as viewing the floral displays at a Ponteland venue on Sunday.

Clare Stephenson is opening her garden at Eland Green Farm, North Road, to raise money for the British Red Cross.

There will be music by The Cherry Pickers, afternoon teas served by members of Ponteland Lions, a few stalls and a raffle. The garden, which will be open between 11am and 4.30pm, covers approximately two acres and includes a mix of lawns, rockeries, herbaceous plants and fruit and veg.

The entrance fees are £4 for adults and £1 for children under 12 years.
