RNLI crew tow boat to Amble harbour following engine trouble
The all-weather lifeboat was launched at 3.17pm this afternoon, Sunday, May 23 to help a vessel with engine trouble between the harbour and Coquet island.
Amble RNLI crew arrived swiftly and rigged up a tow before bringing the vessel back into the safety of the harbour.

Hide AdAn inshore Lifeboat was also launched to assist the casualty up river to the slipway so they could recover the boat onto its trailer.
Both boats then stood down and were made ready for service.
It is understood that no one was physically hurt during the incident.
The rescue comes after an RNLI crew towed a boat to the harbour after it suffered engine failure near Coquet Island last week, Friday, May 14.
An spokesperson for Amble RNLI said: “Our All Weather Lifeboat was requested to launch by UK coastguard after a vessel reported engine trouble between the harbour and Coquet island.

Hide Ad"Our crew arrived quickly on scene and established a tow and brought the vessel back into the safety of the harbour when our Inshore Lifeboat launched to assist in getting the casualty up river to the slipway so they could recover the boat onto its trailer, both boats then stood down and made ready for service once again.
