Leeds Building Society in Morpeth is supporting Variety, the Children’s Charity, by selling its pin badges this month.

The branch in Bridge Street is offering the distinctive gold heart badges for a suggested donation of £1 until Wednesday, November 30.

Manager Victoria Sleight said: “We are very pleased to be supporting this charity with its pin badge campaign.

“I am confident that this appeal will catch the imagination of our colleagues and customers.”

Colleen Ettridge, head of fund-raising at Variety, the Children’s Charity, said: “We are delighted that staff and members of Leeds Building Society are again supporting us through a pin badge campaign.

“Buying one of these character gold heart badges will help us to continue giving disabled and disadvantaged children the chance to live a better life in childhood.”
