Planning bids to the council

THE following planning applications have ben submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Acklington: Mr John Coombes, 1 Brainshaugh Cottage, non-material amendment of 13/01111/FUL, demolition and rebuild cottage with extensions and detached double garage, single storey extension to north elevation to form porch and two storey extension to east forming lounge, master bedroom and staircase, amendment relates to five additional rooflights.

Hepscott: Mr and Mrs Derek Huntley, Langdale, demolish house and loose boxes, create two storey house, separate garage and modified gated entrance; Mr C Ashton, Redesdale House, Barmoor, variation of conditions 5, 6 and 7 of 98/D/477 (change of use from agricultural land to hardstanding for horticultural/agricultural contracting business, use of part of house for office (retrospective) and erection of storage building for business).

Longhirst: Mr Will Benson, South Lodge, Listed Building Consent, change of use of woodland area to outdoor activity centre, including erection of railings and gate.

Matfen: Mr P Moffitt, Vallum Farm, East Wallhouses, erection of marquee in hay shed as function venue.

Meldon: Irene Anderson, land north east of Lightwater Cottage, Mitford, prior notification to install a cable terminal pole, consisting of a single wood pole at 11m in height with an underground cable to the Environment Agency’s switch room.

Morpeth: Leeds Building Society, 34 Bridge Street, Advertisement Consent for one fascia sign, one projecting sign and one vinyl window graphic; Mr Anthony Smith, 2 Southfield, two single storey extensions to the kitchen; The Rev Simon White, St Aidan’s Church, Shields Road, Stobhillgate, alterations and extension to provide community room with associated toilet and kitchen and new vehicle and pedestrian access.

Ponteland: Mrs Patricia Cowell, 236 Western Way, Darras Hall, two storey alteration to bungalow and associated landscaping, including revised ground floor layout, sunroom and integral double garage and three bedrooms and family bathroom on first floor; Mrs Mala Janes, 12 Grenville Court, alterations and extension to dwelling to create first floor and attic room; Irene Anderson, land south of Cricket Ground, Kirkley, diversion of overhead line to facilitate the development of a tractor workshop at Kirkley Hall; Miss Sian Eckert, Northumberland College, Kirkley Hall, prior notification for agricultural shed for livestock storage; Miss Erin Robson, land west of Airport Parking, Prestwick, extension to long-term car park, including landscaping and ancillary bus stops, lighting columns etc, associated with Newcastle International Airport; Mrs Dawn O’Donnell, land north of Furze Hill, replacement of stable block outbuildings with a dwelling; Mr and Mrs John Robson, Old Plant Yard, Prestwick, re-submission of revised application for demolition of industrial building and construction of one dwelling (reduced in height and re-positioned).

Mr and Mrs S Rose, 43 Eastern Way, orangery extension; Isos Housing, land west of 83 and 85 Rowan Drive, demolition of four garages and construction of four two-bedroom flats for affordable rent with associated parking and landscaping, four additional parking spaces will also be provided.

Stannington: Mrs Margaret Dougall, The Spinney, South Clifton, construction of single storey sun room/porch to south elevation and single extension incorporating kitchen/bathroom/bedroom and utility to north elevation; Mr Peter Smith, Ardlea, Station Road End, two storey extension to side and rear and single storey utility to side.

Tritlington and West Chevington: Mr Jonathon Barber, North Byre, Tritlington Demesne, single storey rear extension.
