Plans go before council

THE following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Belsay: Belsay Charitable Trust, land north of Belsay Castle, proposed erection of six groups of horse jumps; Mr Stephen Davison, land north east of Bolam Lake House, prior notification for an agricultural building for rearing calves and lambing shed.

Hebron: Mr Doug Nixon, Cockle Park Farm, removal of three dilapidated containerised buildings used for housing young pigs and replacement with one new containerised building for the same purpose on the same site.

Longhorsley: Mr D Stephenson, West End Garage, extension to vehicle repair garage.

Morpeth: Mr Sam Crowcroft, 97 Newgate Street, works to trees in a conservation area, fell one willow tree; Mr Neil Crighton, land east and west of Mathesons Gardens, Tree Preservation Order, pollard 11 sycamore trees and two ash trees to 1m above gutter height, crown lift to 3.5-4m to four elder trees, one oak, one lime, two lilac, one holly, one sycamore, two cherry and one maple; Mrs Dawn Ruddick, 15 St Aidan’s Crescent, Stobhill Grange, construction of single-storey rear extension.

Ponteland: Mr R Alder, land west of Thorn Cottage, West Thorn, Kirkley, prior notification for a new track which is necessary to provide access to agricultural fields to the rear of the cottage; Ashley Eyre, 43 West Road, proposed garage and extension over to form bedroom accommodation.

Wallington Demesne: Mr Richard Leiper, Bank Top, Middleton, prior notification for construction of a grain store.

Whalton: Mrs Anna Sill, Glebe Riding, change of use of 5m deep roadside section of garden to provide off-road parking for two cars.
