Plans put to the council

THE following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Longhorsley: Macdonald Hotels and Resorts, Linden Hall Hotel, extension of golf course into adjacent land.

Mitford: Mr and Mrs Jones, Abbey Mills, erection of three dwelling houses and extension to existing dwelling house.

Morpeth: Mr John Hare, Low Wood, Pottery Bank, re-submission, proposed construction of new two-bedroomed dwelling.

Pegswood: Enviro Property Partners, Pegswood Ex-Services and Sports Club, demolition of former ex-service sports and social club and erection of use class A1 retail store (370sqm gross), including associated car parking, landscaping, access and new pedestrian access to synthetic sports pitch.

Ponteland: Mr John Lowdon, 13 The Rise, Darras Hall, demolition of house and construction of new house; Mr Michael Lewis, 188 Western Way, demolition of conservatory and re-modelling of rear of house; Mr Chris Whitfield, Harrison Hall, The Avenue, Medburn, creation of an orangery and three-car garage with usable loft space above, internal and external alterations to existing envelope of the main house; Mr Chris Whitfield, Plot 1 and Plot 3, Harrison Hall, The Avenue, Medburn, proposed new-build detached dwellings on both plots; Mr Ken Spark, 35 Errington Road, proposed new roof with dormer windows to form 7m high dormer bungalow; Mrs Patricia Cowell, 236 Western Way, two-storey alteration to existing bungalow and associated landscaping, including revised ground floor layout, sunroom and integral double garage and four bedrooms on the first floor; Mrs Julie Bell, 6 Oaklands, Darras Hall, Tree Preservation Order, crown thin two oaks by 20 per cent, cut back branches to west side of two oaks by 2m minimum and remove deadwood.

Thirston: Mr Storm Smith, Eshott Airfield, Bockenfield, demolition of the dilapidated agricultural implement store and erection of a new steel portal-framed replacement agricultural implement store.

Tritlington and West Chevington: Mr and Mrs White, The Old School, adaptation of ground-floor garage, extension in first floor and new double garage.
