Plans put to the council

THE following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Ellington and Linton: Mr P Miller, 2 Front Street, Ellington, proposed bedroom, kitchen extension and detached garage.

Morpeth: Mr Neil Redpath, 1 Green Lane, Stobhillgate, non-material amendment to permission 12/02915/FUL (proposed front single storey lean-to extension and side first floor extension over garage), amendment relates to provision of two additional roof windows, one over the entrance lobby and one over the kitchen; Marianne McCallum, former St George’s Hospital, Screening Opinion, redevelopment of site for up to 375 dwellings.

Ponteland: Mr Mateo Espinosa, Bellway Homes, Peel House, Main Street, Trees in a Conservation Area, crown thin five beech trees by 20 per cent; Mr Jamie Charlesworth, Waitrose Ltd, 27 Main Street, installation of external horticulture units to the front of store and associated works; Mr Richard Dougal, 5 The Drey, Darras Hall, Tree Preservation Order, reduce and re-shape by 20 per cent two ash, beech and two oak; Mr Gordon Clark, Kildale, Medburn, replacement of existing dwelling with two detached dwellings and associated garaging (revised scheme pursuant to consents CM/20100246 and CM/20100652); Mrs Sue Aviston, Ponteland Middle School, Callerton Lane, construction of external 3G artificial turf pitch to replace existing grass playing pitch, with perimeter ball-stop fencing, floodlights (artificial lighting), clean access and outdoor storage for maintenance equipment.

Stannington: Gosforth Park Hotels, Holiday Inn, Fisher Lane, Seaton Burn, variation of premises licence.

Thirston: Mr David Orange, Hunter House, Bainbridge Lane, Eshott, Tree Preservation application for removal of three fir trees.
