Whalton Village Show has added some horse-power to the event.
As well as the popular classic car section, the entertainment on Saturday includes a Cossack stunt riding show that promises to keep spectators breathless with excitement and admiration.
There are plenty of other attractions, such as the giant marrows, placid and soft-eyed alpacas, a Northumberland sheep dog trial and a steam engine will be on display.
Among the activities are children’s races and a dog show and there will be music from Northumberland pipers and the King Edward VI School Steel Band.
Those who come along can see the entries for the various traditional show sections in the village hall and there will be stalls and refreshments.
In addition, residents also have the opportunity to donate unwanted books for the book fair, which also takes place on Saturday.
They can bring them to the hall this evening, tomorrow evening or Saturday morning.
The show starts at 11am. Entry is £6 for adults, £4 for OAPs and £3 for children.
