An Ulgham-based playgroup organised a special session to celebrate its first anniversary.
Little Owls Stay and Play, which started one year ago, is for under fives and the people who care for them.
To mark the occasion of its first year, as well as all the usual toys and activities, a young lady came along to do face-painting. It went down very well with the children and one uncle.
Instead of the usual story and songs at the end, the adults and children sat in a circle – wearing birthday head-bands that they had made – to play games with a parachute.
The children were given cakes and balloons as they left.
