Ponteland’s Dobbies garden centre is looking to give a helping hand to one of the region’s charities.

The horticultural chain is keen to support a worthy cause helping people living near its store at Street House Farm.

The chosen charity will then have the opportunity to fundraise in-store from the beginning of March.

Aileen Henderson, Community Champion at Dobbies in Ponteland, said: “We have a strong commitment to the local community.

“This continues again this year as we look to partner with an inspiring local charity. We’re excited to begin our charitable work for the year ahead.”

An application form is available to complete online at www.dobbies.com

Interested charities must apply by 4pm on Friday, February 19.
