Put your ideas to the council

PONTELAND residents are being urged to put forward their ideas for schemes and events that would benefit the area to the town council.

The authority wants to know what members of the public believe should be its top priorities for next year’s budget.

Ponteland Mayor Peter Cowey said: “We are interested in public feedback on two levels.

“First are things that we can afford without any increase in the precept. The second is for residents to tell us about a large project that they have in mind that would benefit Ponteland but would mean an increase in the precept.

“To see what we currently do all year round, please visit our website – www.pontelandtowncouncil.co.uk – and select services.

The council is also seeking ideas for how Ponteland should celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year.

To put your suggestions forward, write to the Clerk, Ponteland Town Council, Unit 1 Meadowfield Court, Meadowfield Industrial Estate, Ponteland, NE20 9SD or email enquiries@pontelandtowncouncil.co.uk
