Raise a glass for charity funds

WINE tasting with an expert is on the menu for a Northumberland-based charity.

Legacy of Life, which was set up by Hartburn couple Sue and Richard Cansdale following the death of their daughter Zoe, is organising the event to raise funds for its organ donor awareness work.

The evening will be titled A Fresh Look At France with Helen Savage, and will offer eight wines to taste, followed by a buffet supper.

Ms Savage is one of the country’s most respected wine writers and is a member of the Association of Wine Educators. She is currently studying to become a Master of Wine through Champagne Trinity and AXA Millesimes Scholarships, and runs wine study tours to France and other European countries.

The wine tasting event will take place at St James’s Community Centre in Wellway, Morpeth, on Friday, March 8, at 7pm. Tickets cost £12.50 and are available on 01670 512970, or 01670 772214.
