Range of planning proposals lodged with county council

The following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

East Chevington: Mr David Tait, 14 Market Place, Red Row, change of use from convenience shop (class A1) to coffee shop (class A3); Mr Hay, 88 Station Road, North Broomhill, proposed conservatory.

Heddon on the Wall: Mr Alan Smith, 3 Taberna Close, proposed premises change of use to combined A3, A4 and A5 and new shop frontage.

Longhirst: Mr David Jordon, Old Moor Farm, listed building consent application – move the existing garden gate (door) approximately 50 metres in north direction.

Longhorsley: Mr Stephen Luke, land adjacent to High Southward Edge, change of use to residential curtilage (C3).

Meldon: Mr Shaun Simpson, Huntsmans House, 1 Rivergreen Kennels, listed building consent application – installation of new window to rear, installation of two conservation roof lights and internal alterations to centralise stairwell.

Morpeth: Mr and Mrs Dawes, 5 Sylvan Close, Kirkhill, replacement of existing single story lean-to conservatory with a single storey lean-to sun room with new pitched roof over sun room, dining room, kitchen and utility with new rear access from dining room to garden.

Ponteland: Mr Ian Thompson, land north of Harrison Hall, The Avenue, Medburn, outline application for residential development of six detached dwellings with primary access off The Avenue, with all matters reserved; Ponteland Town Council, land south west of bridge, Darras Road, Darras Hall, works to trees protected by a tree preservation order – reduce the height of Holly tree, remove Alder tree and remove Sycamore tree.

Whalton: Mr Terence Harrison, 2 The Garden Houses, replacement of single glazed timber sash Georgian windows with double glazed timber sash Georgian windows and replacement of existing timber doors with new timber doors.

Widdrington Station and Stobswood: Mrs Amanda Lennox, Glendale, Grange Road, Widdrington Station, retrospective application – erection of timber structure within rear garden for use in connection with cattery business (total of 13 pens).
