ALMOST 90 people came along to one of three public exhibitions showing proposals for a five-turbine windfarm on land about 10 miles north west of Morpeth.

The companies behind the plans – RES and BT – are currently reviewing the written feedback given by residents at the events, which took place in Longhorsley, Netherwitton and Wingates.

The results will be passed on to Northumberland County Council as part of the planning application, which the firms anticipate will be submitted this autumn.

Project Manager Helen Wilson said: “We’re grateful to everyone who took the time to attend one of our exhibitions.

“We now have a much better understanding of local concerns about such aspects as traffic.”

Anyone who was unable to attend the exhibitions can view the display boards and find out more information about the project at www.rayburn-windfarm.co.uk
