ROAD improvement works will be carried out in Pegswood.
Northumberland County Council has said that it will be resurfacing a section of road, which stretches 700metres west from the Brocksburn Park roundabout, and it is expected to be closed between March 12 and 14, from 8am to 5.30pm.
Motorists are advised to use the Pegswood bypass as an alternative.
Pegswood Parish Council Chairman Simon Willcox said: “These works will mean that all the main roads in the village have received attention, which is great.
“Once they have been completed, perhaps we can ask the county council if it can do something about the side roads as some of them are in a messy state.”
