A Morpeth estate agency has netted a decent total after agreeing to sell merchandise on behalf of Morpeth Town FC.

And people can still buy club items such as replica shirts, scarves, caps and woolly hats over the next couple of days in advance of the FA Vase final at Wembley on Sunday.

The team at Sam Allan Estates in Sanderson Arcade – Sam and office staff Emma Arkle and Claire McKenna – were keen to help out as soon as possible after the semi-final victory in March.

They also sold some match tickets for the club.

Sam said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the players and the people of Morpeth to see their local football team play at one of the best football stadiums in the world.

“Our sons play junior football and we know people at the club, so once they got to the final we called manager Nick Gray to ask if there was anything we could do to help, and it was suggested that we could sell club merchandise and some tickets given our town centre location.

“We also decided to show our support by decorating the office with bunting and Morpeth Town shirts.”

In addition, Sam Allan Estates will be one of the kit sponsors for the final.

Claire said: “So far, we’ve sold more than 100 hats and scarves and 35 replica shirts.

“A lot of people have popped in to talk about the final and excitement is building in the town.”
