IT’S harvest time in Hebron.
And to celebrate, St Cuthbert’s Church and community centre is staging a Harvest Flower Festival this weekend.
The event is based on the Northumbrian saints and displays have been put together by members of the local community.
The festival opens tomorrow with a wine and cheese preview evening from 7pm to 9pm.
Normal admission is on Saturday and Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm, with entry costing £1, including refreshments.
And there will be a harvest festival service at 9.30am on Sunday.
Minister Janice Robinson said: “We don’t have a flower festival every year, but we always have a harvest service and being a rural church we try to make the most of the rural environment and we get different people to take part in it.
“A lot of work goes into the flower festival, but as much of the local community as possible is involved in it.”
Tickets for the preview evening cost £3 and are available from Mrs Robinson on 01670 790865.
