Scare tactics on woods fun run

A SPOOKY surprise could be waiting in the woods in a Hallowe’en-themed fun run.

The Northumberland Wildlife Trust event will see runners and walkers tackling a 3.5-mile off-road trail, starting at Bothal Bridge and ending in Morpeth.

There will be a prize for the most scarily-dressed man and woman.

There is an entry fee of £5 per runner or participants can opt to be sponsored for their run. All money raised will help fund the trust’s conservation work.

The event will start at 10.30am on Sunday, October 28. Those under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
