Serving up a charity dinner

MORPETH’S high school will host a charity dinner next week in aid of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) Forces Help.

The aim of the evening, being held in the ballroom at Morpeth Town Hall is to raise money for the charity, as well as to show school, community, countywide and regional support for the armed forces during Remembrance Week.

In 2010, SSAFA Forces Help assisted 50,000 people involved in and affected by wars and conflicts. These included National Service, Territorial and Regular Service men and women and their families.

The dinner organised by King Edward VI School will be held on Thursday, November 17, starting at 7pm and finishing at approximately 9.30pm.

The ticket price is £15 per person, which includes an evening of entertainment by KEVI students, a hog roast, vegetarian options, dessert and wine.

Tickets may be purchased at the school general office or telephone 01670 515415, extension 219.
