A MORPETH shop is supporting a town conservation group.

F.H. Hardy Florist in Newgate Street has agreed to sell Morpeth Red Squirrels notelets to help fund its work to protect reds and trap grey squirrels.

The notelets, which have a picture of a red squirrel on the front of them, are priced at £3 for a pack of five.

Owner of the shop Cynthia Fair said: “When Morpeth Red Squirrels Chairman Norris Atthey spoke to us about what the group does, we said we were happy to do a little something to help it out.

“We’ve had the notelets in a couple of weeks now and customers have reacted very well to them.”
