A GROUP of soldiers are making a return visit to Morpeth later this month.

A total of 120 men and women from the 1st Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers will march through the centre of the town to mark their return from operations in Afghanistan.

It will mark the end of a seven-mouth tour of duty in the county and residents are being urged to show their support for the troops.

The parade will start at 10am on Friday, November 22 from the Castle Bank area and a salute will take pace in Bridge Street.
