The Morpeth Committee of NSPCC has praised all those who supported its Soup & Pud Luncheon, which recently took place at Stannington Village Hall.

Home-made soup and various delicious sweets were served. The special guests were Nic Best, Mayor of Morpeth, and the Mayoress, Mrs Joan Howard, and Wendy Bates from the NSPCC gave a talk. The event is held every year and this year’s luncheon raised over £1,500.
